To avoid beating around the bush, let’s start off with the car that took the fifth spot: 2008 Infiniti G35. This car model (a sedan) was pretty well-received when it was introduced last 2003, replacing the Infiniti G20. In fact, the Infiniti G35 was named “Car of the Year” by Motor Trend, one of the oldest and reliable automobile magazines. The 2008 Infiniti G35 has undergone some redesigns. Now it includes the handy Infiniti iPod Interface as well as Driver’s Audio Stage. Another new thing about this car model is the new exterior color, the Desert Platinum. The Sport Package is given as an option for the G35x All-Wheel Drive (AWD) version. The new Infiniti G35 is offered in four different trims: Base, Journey, Sport 6MT, and xAWD. Across all four models is the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine which kicks off 306 horsepower. Everything has a transmission of a 5-speed automatic overdrive, except for the Sport 6MT. The latter is a 6-speed manual overdrive. Braking features are the ABS brakes, Electronic Brake Assistance and the Vehicle Stability Control System. The standard safety features that each of the trim includes driver airbag, front side airbag, passenger airbag, side head curtain airbags, power windows, First Aid kit, and the Trunk Anti-Trap Device. With its powerful engine and good fuel efficiency, it makes sense why the Infiniti G35 was included.

Up next is the BMW 3-Series, which is considered by many the first ever sedan that gives a sports car performance. It belongs to the compact executive car class and is the best-selling car of BMW. The 3-Series currently has two trims: 328i Convertible and 335i Convertible. The former is powered by a 3-liter I6 engine that spews 230 horsepower. The 335i Convertible, on the other hand, houses a 3-liter I6 engine as well. Only this time, the horsepower given off is 300. Both trims come standard with a 6-speed manual overdrive. However, the option of a 6-speed automatic overdrive is offered. For the Coupe trims, there are four: 328i Coupe, 328xi Coupe, 335i Coupe, and 335xi Coupe. The first two trims share the same engine as the 328i Convertible while the last two trims share the same engine as the 335i Convertible. Likewise, all four trims have the same transmission as that of the Convertibles. Then there’s the Sedan trims: 328i, 328xi, 335i, and 335xi. The first two have the same standard engine as the 328i Convertible whereas the last two Sedan trims share the engine of the 335i Convertible. All of the trims mentioned were assembled in Germany.

The Mercedes Benz C-Class takes the third spot. This car model was redesigned for this year. It is offered in two versions: Luxury and Sport. There are three trims available for this model: C300 Sport Sedan, C300 Luxury Sedan and C350 Sport Sedan. The C300 Sport Sedan and C300 Luxury Sedan are powered by a 3-liter V6 engine with 228 horsepower. The C350 Sport Sedan, on the other hand, is run by a 3.5-liter V6 engine which kicks off 268 horsepower. Only the C300 Sport Sedan has a 6-speed manual overdrive. The other two have 7-speed automatic overdrive. Some of the top competitors of this car model are the Audi A4, Cadillac CTS, Saab 9-3, the aforementioned BMW 3-Series, and the Volvo S60.
