In Russia, snowmobiles are used in plenty. You will come across one or the other, if you just step out of your home in winter. However, here is one that you just can’t help but appreciate. This Home made snowmobile is constructed by one snowmobile enthusiast from Russian city of Kirov.
The snowmobile gets power from an old Yamaha motorcycle engine and is made completely of scrap. The bulky machine has fiberglass seat that was once the part of small carousel and its shift lever is from an unidentified old Coca-Cola souvenir.
The front skies of the vehicle are covered with low friction fluoro-plastic which has extremely low friction factor. The monster is very light for its rubber heavy caterpillar is made of metal and rubber and features a big wheel instead of a regular.
The big wheel is less complicated to maintain and the engine is mounted in such a way to warm the driver and give some hear to the fuel supply system. This unusual snowmobile took almost a year to come in its present form.
